MODELING OF CANAL PROCESSES IN THE DARGOM CANAL USING GIS TECHNOLOGIES

Abstract

The article presents the results of
monitoring the technical condition and channel
processes of the main Dargom canal using
Geographic Information System. The possibility of
identifying changes in the canal›s slopes and rock
morphology, as well as developing optimal solutions
for water resource management, is demonstrated.
Taking into account the geographical structure
of the canal, a Geographic Information System
database was created, including digital, textual,
and graphical maps. Based on this database,
proposals and recommendations for improving
water distribution management in the irrigation
system are presented.
