Abstract

Hydroelectric energy usage is
expanding globally, and this sector plays a crucial
role in both global and local energy systems. This
article is dedicated to analyzing the position and
signifcance of hydroelectric power plants within
the energy systems of the world and our country.
Additionally, the article examines how hydroenergy
serves as a sustainable source from ecological
and economic perspectives. In the case of
Uzbekistan, the increasing demand for renewable
energy sources and the prospective plans in the
hydroenergy sector are also discussed.
