IMPORTANCE OF MICROHYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANTS AS A SUSTAINABLE ENERGY SOURCE

Abstract

This article is dedicated to micro
hydroelectric power plants. Micro-hydroelectric
power plants (micro HPP) are small-scale
hydroenergy systems that serve as environmentally
clean and sustainable energy sources. The
article discusses the main characteristics of
micro-hydroelectric systems, their construction,
technical and social aspects, as well as their role
in sustainable development. The possibilities
of small-scale energy production through
micro-hydroelectric systems and their benefts
in mountainous areas, as well as their role in
improving local energy supply, are discussed.
